Solar is a privately operated energy-management application designed to coordinate residential air conditioning with solar electricity generation.
The application integrates solar production information from Hoymiles with thermostat information and controls available through the Google Nest Device Access API.
Its purpose is to improve the use of locally generated solar energy while supporting configurable operating schedules, energy-management policies, and operator controls.

1. Overview
Solar is a privately operated energy-management application developed by Traydbahx. It integrates solar electricity generation information with Google Nest thermostat data to support residential HVAC energy management.
This policy describes how Solar accesses, uses, stores, and protects information obtained through Google APIs.
2. Information Accessed
With authorization from the Google account holder, Solar may access information made available through the Google Nest Device Access API, including:

Solar also accesses solar-generation information from the Hoymiles monitoring platform.
3. How Information Is Used
Solar uses this information to monitor solar electricity production, evaluate energy-management policies, and support authorized thermostat operation.
Google Nest information is used solely for the application's energy-management functionality. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or marketing.
4. Information Storage and Security
Solar operates through a privately managed application environment.
Google OAuth credentials are stored locally and are not intentionally published or shared with third parties.
Application configuration and credentials are maintained separately from publicly accessible website content.
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect credentials and application information. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
5. Information Sharing
Solar does not sell Google user data.
Google Nest information is not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.
Information is exchanged with Google APIs as necessary to provide the authorized functionality.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Solar accesses thermostat information as needed for operation.
OAuth credentials are retained while authorization is required and may be deleted when access is discontinued.
The Google account holder may request deletion of locally retained Google-related application data by contacting the application operator.
