State machines are all around us. At a traffic light you are controlled by a state machine. They are in vending machines, factory automation, appliances, the list is endless.
Our state machines execute highly controlled repetitive trade strategies. They use predetermined criteria (delta, days to expiration, volatility, etc.) to select and execute trades.
Then, just like a traffic light changes from red to green, they transition to the next 'state'. Rinse and repeat.
